Starting from March 20, 2024, the Resolution Nr 88 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to Certain Resolutions of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Field of Product Conformity Confirmation and Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies" (dated February 28, 2024), comes into effect.
With it, the functions of registering declarations of conformity to the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union is transferred to a single authorized body, the Center for Standardization and Metrology at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzstandart), and its territorial divisions, excluding products intended for road construction, construction materials, products and structures, as well as technical means of communication.
In the practical sense, the resolution excludes the functions of registering declarations of conformity from certification bodies. It is expected to increase the terms and costs of registration of the declarations of conformity, as well as limit the flexibility of the process.
OneWindow has strong ties to Kyrgyzstandart and its territorial divisions, and is set to handle the revised registration procedures in the most convenient way.
